Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.22% to hit a new 3-months high, while the index gained 0.43%, and the index lost 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the were Covestro AG (ETR:), which rose 2.22% or 1.06 points to trade at 48.71 at the close. Meanwhile, Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) added 2.03% or 1.40 points to end at 70.36 and Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) was up 1.89% or 1.60 points to 86.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SAP SE (ETR:), which fell 1.00% or 1.42 points to trade at 141.08 at the close. Bayer AG NA (ETR:) declined 0.93% or 0.31 points to end at 32.65 and Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:) was down 0.77% or 1.35 points to 173.00.
The top performers on the MDAX were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which rose 2.82% to 87.50, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 2.05% to settle at 20.40 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which gained 1.69% to close at 31.83.
The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.70% to 79.90 in late trade, Encavis AG (ETR:) which lost 1.57% to settle at 13.14 and Puma SE (ETR:) which was down 0.77% to 56.36 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 3.09% to 16.85, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 2.05% to settle at 20.40 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which gained 1.45% to close at 26.54.
The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 3.08% to 81.95 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.70% to settle at 79.90 and Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which was down 1.31% to 67.70 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 364 to 258 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bayer AG NA (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; down 0.93% or 0.31 to 32.65.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.37% to 12.95 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.40% or 7.90 to $2,000.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.06% or 0.82 to hit $76.28 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $81.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 103.38.
