The Competition and Markets Authority has opened a consultation period regarding auto parts supplier LKQ’s proposal to address competitions concerns over its acquisition of Uni-Select.
The CMA said Friday that LKQ has offered to sell the entire U.K. business of Uni-Select.
The watchdog has now invited interested parties to make comments until Sept. 1.
The CMA has until Oct.2 to consider whether to accept the undertakings or a modified version of them.
On July 21, the CMA said the transaction could reduce competition in the supply of car parts and garage equipment in the U.K. and added that it would investigate the deal unless LKQ offered acceptable undertakings.
