Shares of Syntec Optics are trading higher on Nasdaq Friday, following news the company received a contract for 10,000 objectives for night-vision scopes to be delivered this year.
At 1:09 p.m. ET, the company’s shares had risen 45% to trade at $5.75. Volume at the time topped 414,000 shares, above the stock’s 65-day average volume of 73,936.
Shares touched as high as $7.46 earlier in the session.
Earlier this week, Syntec went public after completing a business combination with special purpose acquisition company OmniLit Acquisition.
