Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the added 0.20% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the were Renault SA (EPA:), which rose 1.81% or 0.63 points to trade at 35.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) added 1.25% or 0.66 points to end at 53.36 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) was up 0.96% or 1.58 points to 166.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:), which fell 0.66% or 0.36 points to trade at 54.04 at the close. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) declined 0.66% or 4.70 points to end at 706.90 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:) was down 0.49% or 0.21 points to 42.63.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (EPA:) which rose 5.27% to 2.40, Lectra SA (EPA:) which was up 5.02% to settle at 29.30 and Trigano SA (EPA:) which gained 3.28% to close at 141.90.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:) which was down 20.27% to 0.24 in late trade, Clariane SE (EPA:) which lost 4.24% to settle at 2.35 and Valneva (EPA:) which was down 3.88% to 5.21 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 271 to 231 and 104 ended unchanged.
Shares in Clariane SE (EPA:) fell to all time lows; falling 4.24% or 0.10 to 2.35. Shares in Trigano SA (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.28% or 4.50 to 141.90.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.40% or 7.95 to $2,000.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.05% or 0.81 to hit $76.29 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.05 to trade at $81.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 103.37.
